Telehealth describes any health service provided as a video call or phone call. Telehealth allows people to consult with healthcare providers from almost any location, without needing to travel to face-to-face appointments.
Since COVID, more people are accessing health services this way. All you need is a computer with a camera, or smartphone with a stable internet connection.

Your first session is about getting to know you and the journey that brought you to see us. This process may involve a formal assessment, or just some questions about your history and current concerns. There’s no pressure to share everything at once, and we understand not everyone knows their goals right away.

Yes. When you are referred with a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) you may be eligible for Medicare rebates under the Better Access program, – currently $98.95 per session for up to 10 sessions each calendar year.

- Book an appointment with a GP.
- Tell your doctor you want a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) for psychology sessions.
- Your GP will consider your needs and provide a MHTP as appropriate.
- Specialists such as psychiatrists can also provide MHTPs.
Your MHTP is linked to you, not the psychologist, so you can change psychologist or go to a different practice and take your unused Medicare rebates with you.

Most clients submit their claims via myGov or the Express Plus Medicare app. Our automated invoice/receipts will provide the relevant Medicate item number: However, responsibility for claiming Medicare rebates rests with the client. We are unable to assist with Medicare enquiries or claims.

Yes. If you have extras cover you can usually claim a rebate for psychology sessions. It is recommended that you check with your Health Fund first. We will provide you with a receipt/invoice, which you can submit directly to your Fund.

Yes. We respect your choices. Phone sessions are available if you don’t have a video device or reliable internet, or if there are concerns about your privacy, safety, or any accessibility challenges. Please note: Medicare prefers that video is used where available, and eligibility for rebates may be limited in the long term.

Your information is protected by the Health Records Act. Our client records system is protected by bank-grade storage and encryption. In Australia, a person’s health records can only be accessed via a lawful subpoena, and information release is limited to what the court specifically orders.

Studies show outcomes are better when clients attend sessions consistently. However, we also understand life gets in the way. We ask that you provide 24 hours’ notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. As your appointment is reserved for you, cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice will incur a fee equal to 20% of the appointment fee. We thank you for understanding this policy.

No. In the first instance our automated system will schedule 6 sessions for you. This is only to hold your regular appointments. You remain free to change times, or change practitioners, or cancel appointments completely. (please see our cancelation policy).
